Notice – Entrepreneur Immigration Program of Canada is closed
As of July 2012, the Federal Government of Canada canceled the Entrepreneur Immigration Program and does not plan to reinstate it.
What was the Entrepreneur Immigration Program?
Original Program Description
The Entrepreneur Immigration Program required the applicant, a business investor, to have a net worth of at least $300,000 and willing and able to establish, invest in or acquire a business in Canada to create and maintain employment in Canada.
Replacement Programs
Federal Immigration Programs
Please see the “Start-Up Visa Program” for the replacement of the Immigrant Entrepreneur Program.
Provincial Immigration Programs
Some provinces in Canada, such as British Columbia (BC Provincial Nominee Program [BC-PNP]), have instituted similar Entrepreneur Immigration Programs through their respective Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
An applicant must apply through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the province of their choosing and qualify under the Provincial Nominee requirements. It is the responsibility of each province to establish qualifications for any immigration applications they process.
Province of Quebec Entrepreneur Immigration Programs
The province of Quebec has its own Investor Program and Entrepreneur Program separate from the Federal Government of Canada.
